General Description:
The Production Manager/CPP Coordinator is responsible for the production of 20/20 Magazine, in addition to other custom publishing production responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Determine issue size using information gathered through Sales and Finance Departments
  • Impose/Map magazines & supplements
  • Contact clients for advertising materials
  • Prepare and process Advertising files for PDF workflow
  • Liaison with publisher, sales, editorial, art and finance departments
  • Liaison with publication printers
  • Oversee vendor relations and negotiations including print buying and cost control
  • Manage a very busy workflow of design projects through the Creative Services department.
  • Estimate print projects (multiple bids)
  • Review and process invoices
  • Expert on of paper, inks, binding methods as well as elaborate printing specifications
  • Create and maintain print production schedules. Ensure all jobs are completed within the original deadline
  • Estimate and manage the production costs for all print jobs. Print pricing negotiations (multiple bidding). Preparation of detailed estimates
  • Coordinate print projects from conception to delivery. Outside client liaison. Attend client meetings.
  • Work closely with the internal creative team to meet client expectations. Assign design projects, review designs, proof them and forward to clients for approval.
  • Some sales support required

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be highly organized, meet tight deadlines and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal & communications skills
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, InDesign, etc.), Excel, Filemaker, Imposition software
  • Experience negotiating with print vendors
  • 3 years of experience in print production is required
