The global IT outage was caused by a bug in CrowdStrike's "Falcon Sensor" software, which led to Windows systems crashing and displaying a blue screen. This affected banks, airlines, trains, telecommunications, and hospitals. CrowdStrike confirmed that the issue is not a cyberattack but a defect in a single update. A fix has been deployed, but full recovery may take time. The company provided workaround steps for affected systems and is actively working with customers to restore normal operations.
