For me travel is best experienced as a perfect pairing of opposites: the thrill of adventure juxtaposed with moments of quiet relaxation; exploring a bustling city all day and then retreating to a private hilltop to watch the sunset, staying at a luxurious hotel, but getting a dinner at the local fish shack nearby; splurging on an incredible private tour one day and doing a casual group tour with strangers the next. My passion for orchestrating a trip through the moments my clients will experience probably comes from my years as a professional actor; I love putting myself in my client’s shoes and sensing what will be the perfect next beat of their travel “scene”.
NEVER TRAVEL WITHOUT:
A bathing suit, always, and not just for beach vacations. A few laps in the hotel pool in Vienna in winter will erase your jet lag immediately, I promise.
Seeing the Northern Lights (in Finland or Iceland), going to Japan as a family with lots of art and food for my two kids, a languid and picnic-heavy anniversary trip to Provence when it’s almost just a little too hot out.
