YOUR ROLE

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Management Officer (PMO) to join our team in the Research and Development (R&D) on automation & robotization. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing projects related to our R&D initiatives to implementation. You will be part of the transformation from traditional manufacturing to the factory of tomorrow.

The position holder will be recruited in Catania (Italy) plant and posted to work in Malta plant for a period of 2 years.

Duties & Responsibilities

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Plan, execute, and monitor R&D projects focusing on new Technologies development, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards providing technical and procedural guidelines.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to define project goals, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Develop project plans, including timelines, resource allocation and risk management strategies.
  • Monitor project progress, identify and address any issues or bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Conduct in-depth problem analysis to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions that prevent reoccurrences.
  • Establish clear targets and metrics, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), to assess organizational performance and ensure progress towards goals.
  • Utilize a prioritization framework to systematically identify and set objectives and targets based on urgency, importance, and data-driven insights.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are managed effectively.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
  • Manage internal and external communications, including on-site quarterly reviews with core team and customers, to provide visibility on program execution and development progress.
  • Manage project documentation, including project charters, schedules, and budgets.
  • Evaluate project outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement.

Your Skills & Experiences

Skills and Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate Shall

  • Master Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration).
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably in the R&D sector.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in project management tools and software.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken) and French knowledge is a plus.
  • Knowledge on I4.0.
  • Basic on robotization and automation.
