We are fans of #FormalSpecification, to assess the validity of the more complex parts of our system. In the past few years, we have been using #TLAplus for this purpose. Recently, Jayaprabhakar(JP) Kadarkarai contributed to #VeniceDB another version of one of our specs, written in #FizzBee, and in the process helped us cover more corner cases. Thanks JP!

I didn't have a clue, what "Derived Data" meant, before I started reading about #VeniceDB and more importantly how different it could be, when it comes to designing a Database that serves Derived Data workloads at Planet Scale, before I recorded VeniceDB episode with Félix GV. So if you are also curious to know how LinkedIn serves Derived Data for planet-scale workloads, please watch our next episode. https://lnkd.in/eeXYd-K8 Also, please subscribe and support me :)
