#WariorWednesday | #ICYMI In May, US Army Sgt. Brielle Marman, a dental 🦷 assistant with the North Dakota National Guard, was promoted to the rank of staff sergeant during a special ceremony at 37th Military Hospital in Accra, Ghana. The promotion is the most recent of Marman's achievements. In March of this year, she was selected above her peers to submit her packet to the U.S. Army Recruiting Command (USAREC) board for direct commissioning as an officer. "This promotion gives us a chance to showcase our traditions in the #NCO corps to our Ghanaian partners and to recognize the professionalism and potential of our future leaders,” said Maj. Gen. Todd R. Wasmund. “Staff Sgt. Marman exemplifies what it means to serve not just in the civilian world, but also in the U.S. Army. In everything that we do, in the #USArmy and in SETAF-AF, we do it better when we have good NCO leadership." #BeAllYouCanBe | #NCOsLeadtheWay | #AfricanLion24 | #MEDREXAfrica | #SETAFAfrica Marman’s team participated in a medical readiness exercise, planned and executed by SETAF-AF, a program allowing military health professionals from the U.S. and their African partners to exchange medical practices, procedures and techniques that build and strengthen treatment capabilities, resulting in lasting relationships between the partners, during this year's #AfricanLion in Accra, Ghana. #TuesdayThoughts | When Command Sgt. Maj. Daniel A. Dailey became the Sgt. Maj. of the Army in 2015, he said 'leadership is not born, but is rather built.' Now, the previous SMA is still building leaders. Currently, the vice president of noncommissioned officer & Soldier Programs for Association of the United States Army - AUSA, he joined retired U.S. Army Gen. Robert B. Brown, president and chief executive officer of t#AUSA to lead a Leader Professional Development event with Maj. Gen. Todd Wasmund and Command Sgt. Maj.
