Urban contaminations, street style and sporty elements, but also sailor and outdoor inspirations: the iconic garments of Max Mara Fashion Group brands inspire the young designers of Istituto Modartech to create garments rich in creativity and innovation A collaboration, between Istituto Modartech and Max Mara Fashion Group, which has led 5 promising designers to be finalists after a selection involving 16 students from the school's Fashion Design degree course, creating a series of outfits inspired by the lines of the Max&Co, PennyBlack, Sportmax and Weekend brands, then realised with the fabrics and support of the Italian fashion house Max Mara Fashion Group chose to award the student Adele Rasini's Project, giving the young designer the chance to do an Internship in a Max Mara Group Fashion Design Office

#MaxMaraArtPrize for Women presents Dominique White | Deadweight Whitechapel Gallery 2 July - 15 September 2024 Collezione Maramotti 27 October 2024 – 16 February 2025 --- Dominique White, winner of the ninth edition of the Max Mara Art Prize for Women, presents a new body of work, Deadweight, realised during a six-month residency organised by #CollezioneMaramotti. A thought-provoking exploration of rebellion and transformation, Deadweight comprises four large-scale sculptural works which continue the artist's interest in creating new worlds for ‘Blackness’ and fascination with the metaphoric potency and regenerative power of the sea. The title of the project derives from a nautical term which collapses everything on a ship into a single unit which determines the ship’s ability to float and function as intended. White deliberately inverts this, offering disruption as opposed to stability - a reckoning with the tipping point of the ship to offer the possibility of emancipation through abolition. Collezione Maramotti is delighted to announce Anna Conway | Instructions: The Whale 15 June - 15 September 2024 Collezione Maramotti is presenting Instructions: The Whale (2023), a painting by American artist Anna Conway that recently entered the collection and will be exhibited to the public for the first time. After the painter’s first show in Europe, held in 2016 in Collezione Maramotti’s Pattern Room, this intimate new exhibition marks an emblematic stage in Conway’s artistic investigation, launching a series of works (Instructions) that explores the idea of animals and their trainers set against the backdrop of a green screen. Alongside the new painting, the exhibition will present a video of about fifty sequential photographs through which Conway documented her progression towards the final work. These informal shots of its development show the evolution of the relationship between artist and image as it gradually came into being. The garden of the evocative location was filled with the prints and textures associated with the DNA of the Capsule Collection, with our guests enjoying an Italian aperitif and a selection of music by La stryxia.
