Here's the latest in #DataProtection & #Privacy News: 👉 The Italian Garante published its 2023 activity report focusing on digitalisation, AI, aggressive telemarketing, vulnerable subjects, and health data protection. 👉 Following the EDPB’s cookie banner taskforce report, noyb released a Consent Banner Report comparing the taskforce’s findings with positions from 15 national DPAs. The report highlights the need for clear cookie reject options, the illegality of pre-ticked boxes, and issues with nudging through different colored buttons. 👉 Published in the Official Journal, the AI Act will come into force on August 1, 2024, however it will fully apply by August 2, 2026, with phased provisions starting from February 2025. 📬 For more Data Protection and Privacy news, join our DPO Newsletter: https://dponewsletter.com/

For our series on #iubendacareers, meet Pietro, who joined our team in 2018 as Junior Frontend Developer. At the beginning, Pietro was a part-time employee and his main responsibilities were handling the frontend codebase of our website and managing other internal projects. Now, he’s switched to a full-time position as Intermediate Frontend Developer. He still works on the frontend codebase, but thanks to is knowledge he’s now given more responsibilities. Sometimes, building a career means also taking the time to become really good at what you’re doing!
