UNIVERSITY OF SÃO PAULO - BRAZIL

Inaugurated on November 18, 2021, the International Intercultural Center of the University of São Paulo is a space for the exhibition of other countries’ cultures and a hub for attracting national, international, and educational academic affinities for the entire foreign and USP community that participate in courses, lectures, and international academic activities.

The International Intercultural Center project was conceived by Professor Laura Izarra (FFLCH), a special collaborator of our international office, who has also been the deputy director of the Agency for several years. The project is inspired by visitor centers at other universities such as Harvard, Stanford, and Davis in the United States.

It is also an interactive, intercultural, and multimodal space designed to provide dynamic activities related to internationalization and new educational technologies, as well as to promote reading, cultural activities, and the dissemination of opportunities offered by universities, consulates, and USP’s partner companies.

The mission of the International Intercultural Center is to support USP’s exchange with the world through international events, such as seminars, workshops, exhibitions about the culture of other countries, and to be a meeting point for the USP Community, consisting of students, researchers, staff, and Brazilian and international professors.

Alongside the Center is the Academic Reception Office of the USP International Office, which provides assistance with information, exchange procedures, and documentation requested by the Federal Police, as well as welcoming national and international academic delegations seeking partnerships with USP.

The International Intercultural Center is open from Monday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and is located at the International Dissemination Center (CDI) – Av. Prof. Lúcio Martins Rodrigues, 310, Block B, 1st floor, in the University City, São Paulo.
