I first became acquainted with Intercambio’s curriculum and pronunciation guides when I began tutoring English for clients working with the International Rescue Committee in 2016. I heard about CC English through Intercambio’s email newsletter, and then started teaching in 2022.
Since launching Confidence and Connections in August 2019, we have been energized by the consistently positive and generous feedback we have received from the Intercambio community. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for bringing these books into your classrooms and for sharing your experiences with us.
While reflecting on what became the most satisfying year of my career, my appreciation for Intercambio and our mission grew significantly. As an immigrant from Belize, it’s an honor to be part of an organization that brings English language learners and community volunteers together in language classes and gatherings to build skills, confidence, and life-changing connections.

In early November, CoTESOL invited educators from all over Colorado and beyond to attend their 46th Annual Fall Convention in Thornton, Colorado. This year, the conference focused on sharing promising practices, research, and insights related to the theme, “Moving Mountains for Multilinguals.”
Did you know that Colorado Gives Day is December 5? Intercambio has participated in this special day of giving for several years, and this year, our goal is to raise $60,000 for Colorado Gives Day. Any donations made now through December 5 count towards our goal and are eligible for an additional boost through the special Colorado Gives Day Incentive Fund.
