Odisha, which was a stronghold of Congress-led UPA, has witnessed a huge downfall in the state in the last couple of Lok Sabha Elections. Notably, things are not very comfortable for BJP either, as BJD (Biju Janata Dal), after parting ways from NDA in 2008, under the leadership of Naveen Patnaik, has made the state of Odisha as the fort of their own.
The effects of Lok Sabha Election results of Odisha is not only limited to state boundaries, but also define the mood of the eastern states, which might end up playing a crucial role in the formation of government in the centre. However, BJP will be a little more confident about performing better in the state, after their significant rise in the last couple of Lok Sabha Elections.
