‘Disgusting and scary’: Sai Dharam Tej demands action against YouTubers for joke on child, Andhra Police respond

Monsters like these go unnoticed on the very much utilised social platform doing child abuse in the disguise of so-called Fun & Dank.

Soon after the post caught the Internet’s attention, Andhra Pradesh Police responded, “Thank you @IamSaiDharamTej for bringing this issue to our notice. We will examine whether any such cases have occurred in AP and take immediate necessary action.”

According to DGP Telangana Police, an FIR has been registered against the YouTubers with the Telangana Cyber Bureau. “Addressing the inappropriate comments on a child, an FIR has been filed with @TGCyberBureau, and strict actions will follow. We are committed to protecting all citizens, especially children. Offenders misusing social media for humor will face justice, and our team @TelanganaCOPs is diligently identifying them,” DGP Telangana Police wrote on X.

Following the outrage on social media, one of the YouTubers apologised for his “distasteful” content. “Edited out the problematic part from the video. Unconditionally and unambiguously apologetic about the lapse in judgment. As a creator, my attempt is always to put a smile. Unfortunately this time I have crossed the line between what is dark and what is distasteful,” Praneeth Hanumantwo wrote on X.

Reacting to the apology, a user wrote, “I have never posted much on any individual’s post, but I had to after seeing those videos. What you did is a shameful act. It’s not dark or distasteful or disrespectful… it’s a mental disorder. You guys are disgrace to the Telugu states.”

“I still can’t believe you thought it was a joke to speak about a father and daughter relationship like that. The same as you’ve mentioned in the yesterday’s video, Writing a joke like that, live streaming it, and including it in the final version shows your true character,” another user reacted.
