Across social media, a plethora of videos — from brief dance clips to song performances — captures the attention of countless digital creators with their distinctive content. In one such video, US-based digital content creator Ricky Pond was seen acing it with his performance to the song ‘Tauba Tauba’ from the film Bad Newz.
This popular track, sung by Punjabi sensation Karan Aujla and featuring film stars Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri, has ignited widespread fascination online with its captivating moves. The dance steps for ‘Tauba Tauba’ have been choreographed by Bosco-Caesar.
In the clip by Ricky Pond on Instagram, the content creator is seen exuding a casual charm while dancing enthusiastically to the lively music. And the highlight? The hook step, now viral, has everyone attempting it, much like Vicky Kaushal in the original music video. Pond nearly perfects it, sending social media into a frenzy of excitement.
He also incorporates his own unique moves and choreography, giving it a distinctive Pond-like flair. He also gestures and uses expressions while enacting the word ‘tauba,’ an Urdu exclamation commonly used in South Asia, particularly in Pakistan and India. It signifies feelings of dismay, shock, or disapproval, akin to expressions like “Oh my goodness” or “Oh no” in English, conveying surprise, disbelief, or disappointment.
