The same Snapdragon 695 SoC also powers the two-year-old Nord CE 2 Lite and the Nord CE 3 Lite.

On Monday, June 24, OnePlus introduced its latest budget smartphone, the Nord CE 4 Lite featuring a Snapdragon 695 SoC, the same semiconductor chip that also powers the last two generations of Nord CE Lite smartphones. With a starting price of Rs 19,999 for the base variant that comes with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, and Rs 22,999 for the 256 GB variant, the device will be available for purchase starting June 27 via Amazon and on the smartphone maker’s official website.

Despite using the same chipset as its predecessor, OnePlus has made several upgrades to the Nord CE 4 Lite. These upgrades include a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 50 MP Sony LYT 600 primary sensor, and an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance.

Other prominent features of the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite include a 3.5mm headphone jack and stereo speaker set-up. The smartphone comes with the Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 and is likely to receive at least two other major Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates in the future. Unlike most OnePlus smartphones, which are free of bloatware, the Nord CE 4 Lite packs quite a lot of third-party apps, though they can be uninstalled.

The smartphone is equipped with a decent 5,500 mAh battery with support for 80W fast-charging, and it is shipped in a box with a red-coloured USB-C data cable. In the retail box, the company also includes a soft silicon case.

The OnePlus Nord CE Lite series has always catered to those who need an affordable OnePlus smartphone. However, there are better OnePlus phones that are slightly cheaper than the Nord CE 4 Lite.

One such device is the Nord 3 (review), which has a more capable camera unit, Mediatek Dimensity 9,000 SoC, a better display with a higher screen-to-body ratio, and the company’s iconic alert slider. It currently sells for less than Rs 20,000 on platforms like Amazon and Flipkart, making it a much better choice than the latest Nord CE 4 Lite in every aspect.
