As per the report, the top job in India is senior engineer which offers a mean salary of Rs 9,12,307, followed by Operations lead role which offers a mean salary of Rs 7,09,855 and a surprise entry of social media manager with a mean salary of Rs 4,47,140 at the third spot.

The business manager and Finance manager were spotted as fourth and fifth on the list with mean salaries of Rs 5,27,621 and Rs 8,04,599 respectively.

The jobs with the highest salaries are again for mid-management roles such as accounting manager, assistant leader, senior engineer, cluster manager, supply chain manager and finance manager – with mean salaries ranging from 8 LPA to 9.7 LPA. Only two tech roles such as senior net developer and senior engineer are included in the list of top 10 jobs ranked by salary.

Meanwhile, the jobs that have seen the highest growth in the last three years are operations lead (654%), assistant leader (332%), performance manager (177%), senior electrical engineer (174%), senior engineer (130%), freight handler (1203), electrical designer (122%).

When it comes to work from home opportunities, as more tech companies are asking employees to come back to work, roles in media and marketing such as performance manager, social media manager and content manager have more options for remote work.

Surprisingly, this year’s list includes only five jobs in the technology sector, which is a significant decline from the previous year’s 15 tech jobs in the list. “This decline doesn’t suggest that tech jobs are disappearing; they are undergoing a transformation and experiencing a period of change due to the high exposure to new technologies. The inclusion of social media manager, digital marketer, and therapist roles in the list of top 20 jobs reflects the changing work landscape, which could be becoming less dominated by hardcore tech roles,” the official report stated.
