Sharing how he was scared when he came to Mumbai, thanks to the negative stories floating around about Bollywood, Kartik Aaryan pointed out how the good bits about the industry are never revealed. “I came from Gwalior and had never stayed alone. I was moving to Mumbai forever, so I was scared. Also, I was entering the industry for the first time. My mother thought I was going to Mumbai to study and live in a hostel. I was worried about not getting work and had heard unpleasant stories about Bollywood at that time. Eventually, I learned that bad stories get displayed and good ones don’t. An outsider like me got a chance in this industry and that is a reality,” said Kartik.
Further, Archana Puran Singh asked Kartik about sharing a house with 12 boys at the beginning of his career. Opening up about the same, the Bhool Bhulaiyya 3 actor said, “I used to live in a flat with 12 guys in the beginning. There would be 4 boys in one room. Someone wanted to be a writer or director, but most of us wanted to be actors. In the first year, none of my housemates knew that I was there to become an actor. They thought I was in Mumbai to intern. I had told them I was doing a biotech internship at Kokilaben. Pyaar Ka Punchnama was not very big at that time, it was a small-budget film with newcomers, and I faced this when I signed a film and it didn’t happen. Also, I didn’t want people to taunt me that ‘Hero Ban Gaya Tu’. So when Punchnama happened and the trailer was released, I showed it to my housemates for the first time. They were all happy to see one of us be there at least.”

Listening to Kartik Aaryan, Kapil Sharma also shared that he has had a similar journey. Kapil shared that he too shared a room with six boys at one point in his life, and the space constraint was so much that they all slept in one direction. Later, Kapil lauded Kartik for being a sweet human being and revealed how the actor once spoke to Kapil’s daughter over a video call after she insisted that Kapil arrange a call with Kartik.
