The Ambani family has organised an extravagant sangeet ceremony for the couple on Friday, to be held at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC). The dress code for the evening is Indian Regal Glam.
International singer Justin Bieber arrived in Mumbai on Friday morning to perform his popular tracks at the sangeet ceremony. Reports also suggest that singers Badshah and Karan Aujla will infuse the wedding festivities with a Punjabi flair. Bollywood actors Salman Khan and Ranveer Singh are expected to deliver electrifying performances at the sangeet. Many other prominent figures from the Hindi film industry are anticipated to join the Ambani family in celebrating this special occasion.
The Ambani family began the final chapter of their elaborate celebrations on Tuesday with a mass wedding ceremony for 52 underprivileged couples. On Wednesday, they held Radhika Merchant’s mameru ceremony, a traditional Gujarati ritual where the bride’s maternal uncles present her with clothes and jewelry. This event was attended by Bollywood celebrities like Janhvi Kapoor, Orry, and Manushi Chhillar.
On Thursday, Anant’s grandmother, Kokilaben Ambani, hosted a grand dandiya night. The celebration saw attendance from several celebrities, including Manushi Chhillar, Meezaan Jafri, Shikhar, and Veer Pahariya. Following Anant and Radhika’s grand wedding, the Ambanis will host an Aashirwad ceremony on July 13, and the festivities will culminate in a grand wedding reception on July 14.
The pre-wedding celebrations for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant commenced in March with the hastakshar ceremony in Jamnagar, Gujarat. The Ambani family also organized a community feast for over 50,000 villagers in Jamnagar. The festivities saw renowned personalities from around the globe in attendance, including Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, and Ivanka Trump. Bollywood stars like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Aditya Roy Kapur, Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Suhana Khan, Ranveer Singh, and Sara Ali Khan were also present at the celebration. The highlight of this celebration was a performance by pop icon Rihanna and Punjabi music sensation Diljit Dosanjh.
The couple’s second pre-wedding celebration took place aboard a luxury cruise in Europe. The Ambani family hosted around 1,200 guests over four days, with the cruise making stops in Italy and the south of France. This event was attended by Bollywood A-listers, social media influencers, and other distinguished personalities from across the world. In an interview with Vogue, Radhika described the cruise as “a retreat for the people who have contributed to our lives in different ways.” The cruise hosted performances by Katy Perry and The Backstreet Boys. The final night of the celebrations occurred in Portofino, where the Ambanis transformed the main square into an open-air market complete with food stalls.
