NTA working to announce CUET UG 2024 results soon: UGC Chief

This year, NTA also announced that the Agency will conduct a retest for CUET UG candidates from July 15 to 19 if any grievance raised by students about the conduct of the exam is found correct. This announcement comes more than a month after the NTA got caught in controversies around the NEET UG 2024 result, which was released 10 days in advance of the scheduled date.

CUET UG was held between May 15 and 29 this year. While the exam was originally scheduled to be conducted between May 15 and 24, the NTA on May 14 postponed the May 15 exam in all Delhi centres. “It is being informed to all the concerned candidates and stakeholders that due to unavoidable reasons, the test papers (Chemistry -306, Biology – 304, English – 101, and General Test – 501) which were earlier scheduled on 15 May 2024 stand postponed for the candidates appearing in Centres across Delhi only. The examination will now be held on 29 of May 2024. The revised admit cards will be issued for candidates appearing in center across Delhi,” the NTA said in an official notice. The exam was then held on May 19.

While originally, the CUET result was scheduled to be released on June 30, NTA delayed the CUET UG results as it grappled with paper leak allegations involving NEET UG and UGC NET and CSIR UGC NET.

CUET UG is the single-window test for admissions to a majority of undergraduate programs at 46 Central universities, including Delhi University (DU), Allahabad University, and Banaras Hindu University (BHU). In a first, this year the entrance test was held in hybrid format — online as well as pen-and-paper mode — over multiple shifts.
