From Telugu movie actor, PM office member to defence officers, public servants: Meet the 2025 class of ISB

The Indian School of Business (ISB)started the 2025 batch of postgraduate programme (PGP) with students from diverse backgrounds – seasoned professionals in defense, sports, medicine, entertainment, public servants in the government sector. The PGP 2025 batch also saw an increase of seven percent women candidates from previous years’ 40 per cent to 47 per cent this year, an institute statement said.

Meet some of the students enrolled in ISB’s PGP 2025 batch.

Ashish Kashyap is from the Government of India, Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). Ashish brought expertise in policy advisory, counselling key ministries of the government. He adeptly managed the Prime Minister’s daily engagements, offered counsel on vital matters, and coordinated events. With extensive experience, he accompanied PM Modi on both domestic and international visits.

Vishal Yadavalli is from the Indian Navy, Defence Machinery Development Establishment, (DMDE) and is experienced in submarines. Vishal collaborated with public and private sector industries and labs, crafted equipment for the nuclear submarine initiative, and oversaw procurements and distribution of maintenance spares for the Indian Navy.

Ashish Pathak who is from Defence (Air Force) served as a junior navigator in a flying squadron, managed mechanised transport as an officer, handled human resources as an assistant manager, and contributed to organizing civil-military interactive events.

Aditi Sharma who is from the Indian Coast Guard, Navy served as a deputy commandant. She demonstrated exemplary leadership and management skills. She effectively oversaw operations, ensured compliance, and fostered a cohesive team environment within the organisation.

Kuldeep Kumar is from the defence (Navy) and Indian Railways; Science and Technology ( Patent). Kumar was honored with a design patent for Modular Equipment by the Indian Patent Office in 2020, recognising his innovative contributions to the field

Abhilash Bandari is a Telugu movie actor who has showcased his talent across various mediums, acting in short films, web series, feature films, and albums. He challenged himself with a transgender role, produced projects and earned recognition as a versatile actor, including winning the best actor for his debut short film.

Laxmi Prashanthi Karnati is an accomplished endurance runner, having participated from 2018 to 2023. She is also an avid hiker, exploring over 900 miles in US national parks. Additionally, she secured a medal at the San Francisco full marathon in 2022.

Apurv Ashutosh Sharma represented the Indian National Team in the Bowling Federation of India (BFI) as a U-25 player and was selected based on rigorous camps and numerous national medals for the Delhi state since 2012. Her tenure spanned from 2016 to 2018.
