About us

Lilly Capability Center India (LCCI) was established in 2016 as a cross-functional center that leverages data, content, analytics, and technology to become a strategic partner for Lilly. LCCI is a result of the convergence of different functions under Lilly Research Laboratories (LRL), Commercial, Tech@Lilly, and others. 1. LRL functions at LCCI provide scientific, regulatory, safety, and quality support and services to enable the research and development process and ensure the quality and value of Lilly's products. 2. Commercial functions at LCCI provide market research, marketing content, analytics, operational support, learning services and digital solutions to optimize the customer engagement and performance of Lilly's products. 3. Tech@Lilly functions at LCCI provide cloud, automation, advanced analytics, data science, artificial intelligence, software product engineering and information security solutions and services to support the digital transformation and innovation of Lilly's business units and functions. LCCI also houses professionals that cater to some core services, such as finance, human resources, and procurement. These services help Lilly streamline and standardize its operations, reduce costs, and improve efficiency and quality. LCCI reflects Lilly's commitment to diversity, inclusion, and excellence, and its vision of making life better for people around the world. LCCI has been consistently recognized as a Great Place to Work, Happiest Workplace, and Best Workplace for Women.   • Pride at LCCI – Our employee, Valerie shares her journey! In honour of Pride Month, we are privileged to share the story of Valerie Rain Bharathi’s journey so far at LCCI. “I work with the Global Regulatory Affairs team at LCCI. As a transwoman in the society, my journey has been filled with challenges. About a year ago, I went through a very rough phase of near-unemployment and lack of family support as a result of coming out and explaining my identity to the society. This is a scary situation for anyone, regardless of their identity. I was very anxious. When I finally accepted an offer with LCCI, I felt apprehensive about how I would manage to work in an office environment where my new colleagues knew about my identity. The first week was nerve-wracking until members of the LGBTQ+ Ally Program at IDEAL ERG approached me. They sat with me and explained the work of this vital pillar. I was glad and relieved to learn about the proactive steps that IDEAL takes to foster understanding among employees and help people like me. The Ally members eased my worries. Being at LCCI for over a year now, I have realized that I had nothing to worry about in the first place! My leaders reached out to ensure that I was comfortable as I settled into my new role. My team took active steps to help me fit in, and I am profoundly grateful to each and every one of them. Thanks to their efforts, I have felt safe at work every day throughout the past year.” At LCCI, we strive to create a workplace where everyone feels a true sense of belonging. Our IDEAL (Inclusion, Diversity and Equity at LCCI) ERG works diligently to accomplish this endeavour. Employees like Valerie are our strength.
