Responsibilities
Analyzing category data, direct and indirect competitors to identify gaps and opportunities for new launches.
Gathering insights on new product categories, ingredients, formats, and other requisites through primary and secondary research & using them to create product briefs
Competition mapping on product portfolio and benchmarking where relevant
Evaluating product samples, and managing sample testing & feedback
Finalizing product claims & features for the final launch
Evaluating packaging options, relaying briefs to the packaging team, & finalizing packaging for new product launches
Managing network timelines of all new developments, & coordinating with relevant teams to launch products on targeted timelines
Leading and managing sourcing and design teams for better product design and product costing.
Analyzing market research data for better product insights and planning GTM.
Desired Skillset
5+ years of experience in NPD, ideally in a D2C brand
Comfortable in an unstructured start-up environment, implementing processes where needed.
Experience in product sourcing, design, and development.
Good at team collaboration & communication
Inclination to understanding brand philosophy & coming up with product ideas to fill category gaps
