What are the most effective ways to follow up on a proposal and get feedback for business development?
In my experience in B2B sales at least.. it’s always best to provide time based discounts which ramp down regularly. For instance provide a 20% discount for a 1 day approval on proposal. Drop it to 10% for within a week and 5% for within 2 weeks. No discount thereafter. The customer will be rushed by default and in follow ups all we have to remind is expiry of the discount

A thorough understanding and analysis of the external factors affecting your business will make your strategy robust

In my experience the goals of an organisation are dependant on where in the life cycle of companies do they exist in right now. Early on the focus is product enhancement and value creation which can slowly change to market penetration which can change to operational efficiency which can change to market expansion and so on. In your strategy it is important to not try and do all of these at the same time but to prioritise basis what does the company need to succeed
