𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐰 & 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 - Always start with an outline - Every section feels connected (with transition words & paras) - Heavily edit the blog to make it flow smoothly ▶ 4. 𝐏𝐫𝐨 𝐒𝐄𝐎 - Don't focus on keyword density - Always share meta details (meta title & description) - Use Primary, Secondary, and LSI keywords naturally ▶ 5. How a failed priest's 100-year-old secret can make your emails almost addictive… If you want to know the secret to writing emails (or any other form of copy) people actually want to… or even in some cases become addicted to reading… Then this will be the most important post you read today. Now, here’s the problem: I’ve noticed a lot people saying the same thing on most of my calls recently… And you know what? For the most part, I agree with them. Most of the emails we get in my inbox everyday go straight to the trash… Without even reading them. Some of them are even from marketers I know personally, or even like. And, the issue they all have in common? They’re f$%king boring, man! There is no faster way to lose anyones attention, or even lose a sale then when you’re copy just insn’t all that interesting. Because the truth is: You can’t bore someone into buying your products or services. And, here’s how you can avoid it with a simple 1 second mind trick discovered over a 100 years ago by one of the best copywriters of all time… Robert Collier! (Who if you didn't know was trained to become a priest first. But then decided last second to back out of it and become one of the most prolific authors of his time.) And, his sales copy sold better than almost anyone else’s at the time. … All because he made sure he included this one element that was missing in most ads. And, to no surprise, most ads today suffer from the same difficiencies. So what was this super secret element he included in all his copy… And how can you shift your brain in only a few seconds to harness this same powerful element? Simple! Get excited about what you have to write! Earth shattering, eh? I know! But, here’s the truth: When you write something with the intent of driving an action, it’s the transference of energy your putting down with your words that’s felt on the other side. That’s why some of the best writers are completely immersed in what they do… and their copy shows it because it’s dripping with that passion. And, if you’re passionate about what you do, or what you’re writing about… Simply get excited about it before you write. And, the more excited about you get about it… the better! I’m almost more than certain this is where the saying write drunk and edit sober comes from. Leave all inhibition behind and pour that passion onto the page. It makes a world of difference… And can be felt on the other side. KISS Dear writer, this is for you! When you write, do you remember to kiss? K- keep I- it S- short and S- simple Most often, we are tempted by the allure of complexity, use ambiguous words and technical jargon while forgetting that true artistry is in COMMUNICATION. As a writer there is the itch to show the complexities of your mind, show-off. You say to yourself "I am verbally sound, my vocabulary game is 💯" but you forget that your audience need to be spoken to. The attention span of an average human is 8.25 seconds, so what do you do to gain your readers/audience focused: • Make use of descriptive words. You want to create a vivid image in the reader’s mind. They should see what you say. • Make use of imagery. Why do people say “take a picture, it will last longer.” Images leaves a lasting impression on the mind. Colour influences how we interpret the world around us. • Write in simple sentences. If I’m not reading for an exam, I wouldn’t bother with professional terms and long sentences. Paraphrase, make use of punctuations and write in simple sentences easier to stick to the mind. So, let's embrace the beauty of simplicity in our craft, avoiding unnecessary verbosity and vagueness, rather focusing more on clarity and conciseness to effectively convey your message. COMMUNICATION is key dear writers, so always remember to kiss. PS: I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

Someone once told me about a CV writer who crafted his CV, delivered the first draft, and then ghosted him without waiting for feedback or corrections. He collected his money and moved on, leaving the client with a less-than-perfect CV and a lot of frustration. Hearing this story made me feel really bad for the client, especially because I've had similar experiences with service providers in the past. This is precisely why I do things differently. When I create CVs: I ensure they are spotless and then wait for the client's feedback. I believe in delivering quality work and achieving nearly perfect client satisfaction. Once the client reviews the CV, we discuss: Discuss any clarifications they need Answer any questions and Make any necessary modifications. Why did you stop applying Creams??? This is not a question for you to answer, just to let you know that we know! Spooky? I don't think so. It's heat period so everyone pretty much understands why your glow went low. I mean, with all the economic issues we're facing in this country, the least you can do for yourself is to allow every part of you breathe!!! So you let the poor skin breathe!!!! But in doing so you, you exposed your skin to so many things that could be avoided if you read this post earlier. This is another chance Things you could have avoided: - A dull complexion: Earth is hard, we all know that earth is hard, but you don't want to look like what you're going through trust me. Especially if you have an ex you're trying to pepper, not using cream is nowhere near getting you that revenge glow you're looking for. - Wrinckles: Let's not act like we don't catch ourselves scrolling through Tiwa Savage's jpegs once once. All that black-don't-crack-ageless-look won't admire itself yunno. And I know you want to look 25 at 50, but you can't achieve that with just Facebook captions like "30 is the new 22", when your cream is growing fungus in one corner of your one room apartment. - Dry and itchy skin: From frying pan to fire. Not using cream may prevent sweating, but it creates more issues like a dry and itchy skin, such that when you start scratching it, you begin to look exactly like the weapon fashioned against you. But don't be too hard on yourself, an African proverb goes " na when person wake up be him morning", so good morning to you. Don't get me wrong, you probably did what was best for you with what you knew. But what you consider best is subject to how much you know, not necessarily what is available. We were deciding the brand kit for the client but they were apprehensive of choosing only a few colours. The client was worried about the feed looking monotonous and lacking visual excitement. Here’s what I told them… A limited colour palette does not equal a boring feed. Brand recognition trumps short-term visual excitement. Think about it - would you recognize Coca-Cola if their iconic red suddenly turned purple? Probably not. A consistent colour palette builds brand association. When people see your chosen colours, they instantly think of you and your brand values. Limited colours don't mean boring! You can still create visually compelling content using different shades, tones, and textures within your core palette. The focus should be on quality content and storytelling. I hate the word don't. Don't you? Say, 'Don't do that!' and most people — including myself — will do 'it'. On principle. Even if they had no intention of doing 'it' in the first place. I have this paradox in mind when I edit. Authors don't want their creativity to be curtailed. I get it. But they DO want their readers to be immersed in their precious story. There are loads of ways to make the reading experience as smooth as Cadbury's Caramel. But some of them involve don'ts. There's no getting around it. Let's look at ONE of those don'ts: ➡ Repetition Woah! Hold up. Before your jowls start wobbling, there's a caveat: Use repetition consciously by all means. As a rhetorical device, types of repetition* add colour and movement to a text. It can mean the difference between a book and literature. But don't bog down your reader in tautology. Tautology acts like fly paper to the reading experience. It makes a word swamp of your writing. I've plucked some examples of tautology from my clients' texts (with their permission) to show you what I mean. You'll find them in the 🎠. So, when you're self-editing next, you'll be better prepped to swat them out of your text. P.S. I edit fiction but the same applies to non-fiction texts. P.P.S. And here are my key takeaways as a writer. -> Keep it short (and maybe sweet). -> Refrain from negative writing. -> Use simple, easy words. -> Make it crystal clear. -> Write like you talk. -> Say no to long paras. -> Don’t overdo white spaces. -> Edit at least after 15 minutes. -> Make your content visually pleasing. Take one point from here and apply it today. Don’t just read and store the information. You’re one step away from being a better writer. What point are you going to apply today? P.S.
