Being able to handle emotionally heavy situations requires emotional intelligence. Being emotionally literate is a key component of this intelligence. It empowers us to guide individuals in identifying and comprehending their feelings. The Wheel of Emotions of Plutchik is a basic helpful tool in this case. Naming emotions and framing them as something somebody 'experiences', reduces the heaviness. Viewing emotions as signals and valuable information about ourselves, allows us to gain insight into their teachings. This awareness enables a thoughtful consideration of how we can intentionally respond to these emotions.

Enhancing the effectiveness of goal-setting involves integrating the AIM approach into the SMART framework. AIM, signifying Acceptable, Ideal, and Middle goals, provides a nuanced perspective. Rather than framing goals as one substantial leap, consider a more pragmatic approach. By identifying the minimum, maximum, and a realistically achievable stretch – the middle goal – you pave the way for smoother goal attainment. This strategic shift toward realistic, incremental targets facilitates a more seamless journey to success
