• Closely worked with our finance analyst and CFO, making sure all the manual data processing and computations get automated in phase 1
• Solely developed all the Talend ETL jobs that do all the cleaning and data crunching to reveal business critical insights
• Deployed these jobs on servers to ensure reports are refreshed twice a day
• Moulded opensource tool Saiku by Pentaho to make the extraction of any kind of report on this data points effortlessly available
• Regular updation of the Jobs and the reporting tool to incorporate new data points, computations and our rapidly evolving business model

In this paper, we describe a data science project analyzing the repayment behavior of customers of pay-as-you-go (PAYG) solar power systems in Indian villages that experience severe cuts in grid power. In this paper, we describe a data science project analyzing the repayment behavior of customers of pay-as-you-go (PAYG) solar power systems in Indian villages that experience severe cuts in grid power. The innovative PAYG paradigm allows people that cannot afford the capital expense of a solar panel at any one time to finance their acquisition with a small down payment and affordable ‘recharge’ payments. In particular, we examine data from our customers at Simpa Networks and develop a logistic regression model to predict the risk of a customer failing to make recharge payments until the system is fully paid for. This prediction is to be made at the point in time when a person applies to be part of the program using attributes solicited on an application form. The task is made difficult because repayments take place over two to three years and the sample size of customers with that much history is small, because application form data is noisy, incomplete and contains many free text fields, and because the customer population characteristics are changing over time. Nevertheless, we are able to obtain classification performance results with the promise for business impact. Show less

Digital Customer Application Form or DCAF is an application built on Scala using Playframework. Simpa provides Financing to energy poor rural customers who otherwise have negligible credit rating. In order to make it a viable business model Simpa needs to undertake judicious crediting appraisal which needs capturing and digitization of a lot of customer related Data. DCAF not just supports efficient and clean capturing of data but also regulates enforcement of credit appraisal workflow.

Every year new members join the support team, new applications are launched and new issues arise. Tracking these issues and ensuring consistent and synchronized solutions was a challenge for the support team. My Support application provides step-by-step solutions to the top 5 frequent issues for each of the 80 applications the support team handles.

The previous recertification process was a manual process consuming a lot of time and effort of managers and the Access Management team as well as the pan India IT Team.

The Recertifier automates the process of recertification for access to applications, databases, software for the whole India IT Team. The previous recertification process was a manual process consuming a lot of time and effort of managers and the Access Management team as well as the pan India IT Team.

This project would automate the entire process of recertification reducing the time taken previously (2400 man hours) to a mere 2 hours. It also improves the tracking process and ensures that each manager receives one notification email instead of 80+ emails he/she would receive earlier.

My Role:
• Interacted with the user (Access Management Team) to gather requirements
• Documented end-to-end User requirements for the application
• Designed and developed the application to be used by the Access Management Team using APEX and JavaScript
• Worked extensively on scripting SQL and PL/SQL procedures for data retrieval
