    Prison Book Project

    Education

    I helped organize the group for a few years. This long running institution received tens of thousands of letters from prisoners throughout the US and sent them books from our library of donated books.

    Everyone is a volunteer, and we met every Sunday to package and send books. I also helped with the fundraising, helped make a computer system / CRM, etc...

    Children

    SPID runs a center for children of sex workers on Delhi's GB Road. These children live at the center, attend government schools, and receive supplementary educational experiences from volunteers and staff.

    I administer their computer lab which is primarily funded by the British Council (with generous in-kind donations from Makey-Makey and Shantanu and Nikhil). I also teach two classes a week to the kids there on basic computer literacy and creative digital expression.
