I'm highly skeptical of SEM technology developed by third parties compared to Google's own offerings. It's important to understand that most third-party tools rely on Google's API, and unless they've matured with substantial data and usage, their insights may lack accuracy and value. During my tenure at Solutions 8, we conducted weekly client offboarding review meetings to assess issues encountered. After analyzing over 50 client offboardings, a common trend emerged: many stemmed from improperly defined goals during onboarding. Some clients became overly fixated on their monthly budget, reacting strongly to even minor overspending, often resulting in cancellations. Conversely, others struggled to identify their breakeven and profit margins, leading to either restricted growth or unprofitable spending in pursuit of scale. What do you do if your personal brand in SEM needs rebuilding after a layoff?
Start teaching others SEM strategies that you have mastered. You will hit several birds with this one stone. Back in Jan 2022, I wasn’t exactly laid off but I was being robbed off my Monalisa I had been painting so passionately. I was being wronged. But I did not react, I decided to respond. And I decided to do RIGHT for others, in my response. I invited a bunch of folks and taught them Google Ads over 14 days. And that course hasn’t given me a lot of money exactly but it has helped turn my life around in a big way. It still gives me great peace of mind, motivation, encouragement, and positivity to always do the right thing. You need all of this to start over again and you can get it guaranteed by doing good for others.
