What do you do if your work-life balance in public relations is becoming unrealistic?
Having worked in the communications industry for over a decade now, I understand that the chance to be part of an impactful story or face a crisis can arise ay. Therefore, to maintain resilience, it's crucial to take specific steps to preserve a healthy balance. Here is what I do: 1)I consistently prioritize my responsibilities, focusing on high-priority tasks, and effectively delegating or renegotiating deadlines for less urgent work. 2) I openly address my concerns with my manager and collaboratively seek potential solutions. 3) I carve out time for self-care, whether it involves browsing products online or having a pillow fight with my 6-year-old.

What do you do if collaboration between departments in your PR agency is lacking?
Empower your agency team to function as an extension of your own organization. Actively listen to their challenges, identify gaps, and collaboratively guide them through the storytelling journey seamlessly. In the communications industry, empathy and trust are paramount. Ownership is a mutual commitment, and it's essential to foster a culture of understanding and support. Building a strong collaborative relationship with the agency is key to achieving impactful results in communication and storytelling.

To enhance your personal brand as a PR consultant, take the following actions: 1) Identify and Communicate Your Specialization: Pinpoint your distinct skills and the particular PR domains where you shine. 2) Share knowledge: Share your own experiences, industry knowledge, case studies, and new learnings. 3) Establish Connections: Networking is the THE most important skill! 4) Thought leaderships: For once, instead of trying to establish your spokespeople as the thought leaders, take out time to contribute to pertinent discussions, portals to demonstrate your own expertise and insights. 5) Digital Footprint: Invest time to strengthen your own LinkedIn profile
