  • Removal of Methylene Blue from Aqueous Solution Using Mango Leaves

    Chemcon-2014, IIChE

In present study potential of mango leaf powder to adsorb Methylene Blue (MB) from aqueous solution by adsorption has been investigated.

  • Study of Microbial Fuel Cell Using Waste water, E.coli & Vermicompost

Intellectual society for Socio-Techno Welfare (ISST-IJAC)

Microbial Fuel Cell is used for generation of electricity from exo-electrogenic bacteria. This paper successfully shows that waste water that contains mixed bacterial strains can produce more power than the other sources like vermicompost and E.coli. A potential of 0.7 Volts has been recorded for waste water after 60 hours of operation.

Projects

  • Folio

    -

A portfolio management website that could handle multiple accounts for investors

  • CatCheck

    -

A catalyst data analysis tool which used a calculation engine for processing the catalyst data for multiple reactor types along with several other configurations.

  • Removal of heavy metals from water using biosorbents

    -

This project was sponsored by DST, Rajasthan . Different biosorbents were prepared to study their effect on removal of heavy metals from aqueous solution. Hydrodistillation was used first to remove the essential oils from leaves of Bassil and Eucalyptus. This activated the pores of these leaves. After this the leaves were further given heat treatment and grinding to convert them into fine powders which were then used as adsorbents.

  • Smoke Filter

    -

The smoke filter worked on the principle of adsorption by activated carbon and steel mesh. Activated carbon was effective in removing finely dispersed oil particles, sulphur dioxide gas and NOx emissions. Steel mesh could remove particles of size more than 60 microns.
Design: It had a air fan for suction of air through the activated carbon and steel mesh. Shape of filter was diverging, so that air enters at high velocity.
