In this static environment, questions were seldom asked, and discussions rarely occurred. Sounds familiar!!! Now picture a dynamic classroom instead! The future of management education in India should be rooted in the anticipated future of the Indian Economy. This article in the Indian Express brings out this contrast between the US management education where policies aligned with the state of the current and future economy. The Policies in India focused more on control, regulations, fee etc. Policies regarding management education ought to look at the requirement of manpower in the Indian Economy which is likely to maintain the highest growth rate for the next 20 years at least. https://lnkd.in/d7M6sHcW

Focus on competencies are long term, sustainable learning models. For a content obsessed culture that manifests in the classroom about syllabus completion ( never mind if students learn), how does one rationalise the focus on competencies while not losing the foundations ?
