Projects

  • Group activity management web application

    -

We developed a website named ‘Acclivia-Grow with groups’ (The word ‘acclivia’ is derived from ‘acclivity’, which means sloping upwards). It provides a platform where a group of people shall be able to manage things that they do as a part of a group. It has features like creating/managing groups, assigning tasks, calling group meetings, creating live-text files (which can be accessed by the group members concurrently), timeline (to show the statistics of tasks, meetings, files, etc.), profile…

  • Kernel Module For Simulating a scheduler

    -

We developed a kernel object which acted as our kernel module. After running this program, whenever the user pressed a key from the keyboard, this module took it as an interrupt and due to this interrupt, a new process was generated. After this interrupt was generated, the program asked the user to enter the expected running time of this process. We developed a kernel object which acted as our kernel module. After running this program, whenever the user pressed a key from the keyboard, this module took it as an interrupt and due to this interrupt, a new process was generated. After this interrupt was generated, the program asked the user to enter the expected running time of this process. After the user has entered the expected running time, the program will start the process. Meanwhile, if the user presses another key, a new interrupt will occur and the module will again ask the user about its expected running time. Based on the running time of the 2 processes, the module will schedule the processes (e.g. the module can give maximum priority to the shortest process). Whenever a new process will be generated, the process scheduling table will be updated. Suppose a particular process has been completed (according to its expected running time entered by the user), this particular process will be automatically discarded by the module and a new scheduling table will be generated.

  • Quiz-taking website

    -

We developed a website named ‘Quizplace’, who’s main objective was to promote quizzing culture. Nowadays, general knowledge is very important. Hence, we developed this website with the main purpose of sharpening the quizzing skills of users. We had a database of numerous tests divided into various categories like business, sports, literature, entertainment, etc. A user can create his/her profile and give these tests online. The website also maintained all the records of a particular user.

  • Tech Buddies Developers (Founder)

    -

The idea was to assemble a group of developers (which we later named TechBuddies) and develop Indian-context apps for the Android market. At first, we trained ourselves in android app development using books and video tutorials. We developed two apps during this period- Heal@Home (A commercial android app) and Controlled Speaker(A non-commercial app which gives a control for the Google’s text-to-speech API)
