In the words of José Rizal, ‘Youth is the hope of our future.’ However, studies reveal that more than 50% of the youth (aged 18-24) in India experience varied mental health conditions. How do we take collective action? This was the essence of the NDTV Yuva Conclave, which celebrated many youth disruptors in India. Among them was our very own Dr Amit Sen, Founder and Director of Children First. Amit was accompanied by other change-makers like Amrita Tripathi, Founder of The Health Collective, Divija Bhasin, Counselling Psychologist and Founder of The Friendly Couch™, and Kairavi Bharat Ram, Founder and CEO of Typsy Beauty. Their dialogue thoughtfully explored strategies to build resilience, promote emotional literacy, and advocate for early interventions in youth mental health. From dissecting cultural influences to addressing therapy misconceptions, each insight revealed the need to nurture a culture of support and compassion. Nothing brings us more joy than being part of dialogues that amplify awareness and collective action. We’re grateful to have been part of this conclave and look forward to more such insightful conversations in the future. #youthmentalhealth #youth #parenting
