    Impact (v) - Have a strong effect on someone or something. Synonyms - affect, influence, have an effect on, make an impression on, touch, change, transform, shape. Early February, every year, year after year, the reminiscing starts in office as we head into the Company’s founding day. Memories, stories, moments and incidents are shared around the floor and the atmosphere becomes incredibly sentimental but very festive. There is a palpable sense of excitement and joy…. every year without fail. It was on one of these sharing-stories coffee breaks a couple of weeks ago, that I asked the Stellar team that what do you think is the true measure of our success?….. and the response was a wave of concurrence – ‘we make a difference’, ‘we change lives’, companies….. As a leader, it really was a moment that left me so emotional..… because the team (and teams across generations of Stellarites) have really helped me live my purpose - “of making an Impact”, so much so that it has now become our collective WHY. But we, at Stellar, strongly believe in Newton’s third law of motion ….. and I just want to take a moment to express Gratitude for the impact others have had on us….. Our Clients, the easy ones, the difficult ones, the we-need-this-yesterday ones, the demanding ones….. you are our raison d'etre…. and we are who we are, because of you. You are the reason we are so thorough, go the extra mile, stay resilient in the face of failure. Your feedback has been even more valuable than your support and we will continually learn from it.     Swift decision-making is crucial when hiring critical business leaders. Companies that expedite their hiring processes gain a competitive advantage, while delays and lack of engagement with potential candidates can result in them losing interest and seeking opportunities elsewhere, negatively impacting employer branding. In my conversation with the #CHRO of a reputed promoter-led pharma company, he highlighted how they have made it mandatory for all senior-level searches to conclude conversations with candidates within a specific timeframe and the role he played in aligning all leaders, including the Chairman, to implement this. In my opinion, this can only be achieved if top management recognizes its importance and is actively involved in the process.   Effective communication is key to creating a delightful candidate experience, especially for critical leadership mandates. Alarmingly, 75% of candidates report never hearing back after applying, and 60% feel left in the dark post-interview. Prolonged hiring processes can create a negative candidate experience, which also leads to dilution of the employer’s brand.   Management must prioritize reducing time-to-hire by streamlining the process, eliminating unnecessary steps, and avoiding unwanted gaps between touchpoints.
