#TogetherMando #MandoPress Check out new content series! 'Mando Press' In 'Mando Press' contents, we will introduce HL Mando's mobility technology, business plan, News, etc. in infographic style! - Have you seen a patrol robot around? These days, service robots and guide robots are easily encountered everywhere. However, unlike these two robots, patrol robots are needed in various environments such as public housing, apartments, university campuses, and public/industrial facilities where patrol is required. In case of outdoors, various challenges such as vehicle barriers, uneven terrain, and weather conditions occur, requiring high levels of technology and expertise. Patrol robots must have various technological elements such as sensor-based autonomous driving, diverse mission equipment, connectivity, integrated monitoring, and alarm systems. Additionally, they can overcome limitations and alleviate patrol blind spots through collaboration with security personnel. HL Mando's patrol robot ‘Goalie’ has been developed with a focus on effective collaboration with security personnel and active mission execution. We expect that Goalie will turn various sites related to patrol into convenient and safe spaces. #HL #HLmando #mobility #PatrolRobot #Goalie #security #technology #innovation #AutonomousDriving #Goalie_assists_security_guards

#TogetherMando For the first time in company history, HL Mando held ‘Steering Track Day’, an event that showcased future mobility technologies. During the event, the new mobility technology called Steer-by-Wire (SbW)* attracted the visitors. We met with Kim Manho, a senior research engineer at HL Mando’s Steering BU conducting SbW research projects, and listened to what he had to say about the event. *Steer-by-Wire (SbW): An intelligent steering system utilizing electric signals, which relays the control of the driver to the steering wheel solely by electric signals Q. The Track Day event ended with a great success. How do you feel? A lot of people put their effort into this event, and that’s what made it so successful. There has been a lot of burden since the preparation, but I’m glad it ended great. Q. Were you able to show the visitors the research results on SbW at this Track Day event? Visitors who test-drove the demo vehicles were satisfied, and their satisfaction once again confirmed that HL Mando’s SbW system is well-designed and shows great performance. My team and I are working to reach our final step in product development, which is applying the SbW system to automobiles. We aim to make our SbW system serve its function right and show better performance. I think the positive feedback we got from the SbW test drivers was possible thanks to the members of our company working in various teams (HW/SW). I would like to credit this uplifting result from our research to our team members and the developers working in other teams. Q. Visitors could test-drive the SbW and ride an SbW simulator. How were their reactions? Some of them were surprised to see how much the technology has advanced, and some appreciated the preparations and efforts we put in for holding the event. They also commented that although steering the vehicle with the SbW technology was very different from the conventional way, they couldn’t feel much difference when they were driving the demo vehicle. Q. What are your future goals? The SbW system is not on the market yet, so many Original Equipment Makers (OEMs) are preparing for its release. We will strive to research, develop, test, and evaluate Mando’s SbW system for our customers to get a positive impression of the product when they get to meet the system in their cars. The 2023 HL Mando Steering Track Day showed us what the future mobility technologies will bring us in the future. Please send your support for the next HL Mando Steering Track Days to come :) #HL #HLMando #mobility #trackday #2023trackday #SteeringTrackDay #RWS #EMB #selfdriving #SbW #SPM #FDC #ECM
