At Chhaygaon Higher Secondary School in Kamrup, Assam, Magic Bus and YouthInvest Foundation hosted a transformative #healthawareness camp. The event went beyond traditional health education, empowering adolescents to become advocates for their own health and community well-being. Interactive sessions introduced the T3 method—Test, Treatment, Talk—to navigate healthcare effectively. Students practised communicating their health issues and used tools like pulse monitors and first-aid kits to learn practical skills. This camp is part of our ongoing effort to foster a proactive, healthier generation through education and collaboration. #MagicBus #AdolescentHealth #HealthAwareness #EmpoweringAdolescents #CommunityHealth

According to the World Economic Forum Future of Jobs Report 2023, 60% of employers highlight the #skillsgap in the local market as their biggest challenge during recruitment. Today’s youth have immense potential. With the right opportunities, they can drive innovation and accelerate business growth. However, they need the right know-how and skill sets to make this a reality. NGOs play a key role in bridging this gap for young people from underserved communities. At Magic Bus, we equip youth with essential #lifeskills and #employability skills, #empowering them for a brighter future. Yet, many young people still face significant barriers to securing meaningful employment. Vote now and share your thoughts/opinion.

Standing Strong Amidst the Floods in Assam The recent floods in Assam have devastated communities, including the Nahira community in #Kamrup district where Magic Bus has been active since 2022. As the situation worsens, our dedicated teams at Magic Bus India Foundation (MBIF) have stepped up to support their community. During our Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) exercise, the community identified the school as their shelter in case of a flood. With the livelihoods, paddy fields, and homes all washed away by floodwaters, 456 people including 40 adolescents, are now staying at Nahira Guimara Anchalik High School, our intervention school and CLC location. Our Community Learning Center (CLC) is being used as a Child Friendly Space by Assam State Disaster Management Authority-ASDMA and UNICEF, and as a breastfeeding corner by the Department of Social Welfare, Govt of Assam. Our Senior Academic Educator (AE), Sumi Kalita, and Life Skills Educator (LSE), Utpal Das, have initiated activities to ensure the mental and physical well-being of adolescents. The adolescents are not only finding joy through play but are also engaging in basic numeracy and literacy activities. Our efforts have garnered appreciation from the community, the UNICEF team, media, and school teachers. The Chief Minister, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma and the Local MLA - Sri Hemanga Thakuria and District Commissioner visited the centre and witnessed the positive impact of our efforts. We are incredibly proud of our team's dedication and quick response to create a positive impact during challenging times. - Dhanashri Brahme - Pallav Kumar - Hiryana Bairagi [Video source from DB News] #DisasterRelief #Assamfloods
