CASE STORY - PART 3 - End-2-End analytics ---- So, let's continue our journey. This time I'm gonna tell you about quite an interesting thing - end-2-end analytics, and how we implemented it in Tel Aviv Medical Center - T.A.M.C Ltd. (actual report on the cover, to give you the brief idea what's it's all about 😊) That was one of their main pains when we first met, and also one of the most useful instruments a private clinic can use to improve their marketing. So, to all the CMOs, digital marketing specialists etc. - I would definitely recommend you to check it out. https://lnkd.in/e5-XxdiE #healthcareIT #HealthIT #DigitalHealth #e2eanalytics

Over the past decade, I have reviewed over 1,000 cv's in search for the best team members to join our team. I see a lot of people in Israel in need of jobs these days so sharing some tips from my experience as a manager and Organizational Psychologist that I hope can be helpful. If you have any questions or additional insights, please feel free to comment below or pm me. I divided the job-seeking journey into 4 stages: 1. Self-reflection 2. CV building 3. Networking 4. “Dating” your future boss In this post I will cover some pointers for the first 3 stages. Next post will cover pointers for the last stage. *Self-reflection* 1. Self-reflection and understanding what you are good at and what you are passionate about. 2. Who are you - Need to be able to answer this in 2-3 lines at the top of the CV. Are you a manager and looking to be in a leadership role or more of a hands-on executive? Is your focus marketing/sales/coding/project management? Pro tip: Ask your friends to be honest with you and share the value they see you bring. It will crystalize your own view as well. *CV and LinkedIn profile* 1. CV building - how does your future boss know you are great at what you do? What success and impact did you have that you can articulate with numbers? 2. The design is great. But the most important is the content. Make sure clear description in the header what you do and keep it short, with bullet points and a 1-pager. Make sure no mistakes. If there is even 1 typo, it is a no-go. 3. Passion talks. Years ago I hired a young man with very little experience because he came with great passion and told me how he taught himself code at age 11. See how you can find that story that highlights your greatness. *Networking* 1. Networking and asking friends for an intro or to put in a good word. Identify 10 people you will have coffee with to brainstorm your career. Some will give you great advice. Others will give you a good lead. 2. Don't only think about networking with those who can give you the job today but rather with those who know people that can help you. 3. The best way to build trust is to show your work in action. I once hired someone because he reached out and explained to me in a loom video why one of my client websites stinked and how that can be fixed. He didn't tell me what he does but showed me. What tips have you found as a manager that you would give future employees?

Interesting questions arise with the adoption of #AI - Not only do the questions include dilemmas of who should receive a ticket when an #autonomousCar makes a mistake, Similar questions can arise when dealing with #AIinFinance. For instance, Who should be charged if an #investmentAI leads to investors losses, or appears to have used insider data? Similarly, who should be investigated, if a #lendingAI discriminates between potential lenders (based for instance on past statistics profiling)? We'll be talking about these aspects of AI in #finance and #banking, during the upcoming #lectures this Thursday, and next week. Would love to hear your thoughts in the comments in the meantime! 🏔 Converting the AI revolution into business value is one of the most interesting challenges for us as Product people. 🎧 In the last episode of מוצרלה | Mozzarella, I spoke to Orly Shechtman about emerging technologies and how we extract maximum business value from them. (The episode is in Hebrew, link in the first comment). This is a good chance to remind everyone that we are meeting very soon at PM LIVE conference on June 23th, and that you can get 10% off with the code Mozzarella10

𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐉𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐭-𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬 (𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐭) Hello, my name is Salifu Friday Nicodemus, and I am a frontend developer. I am delighted to be joining the HNG tech internship program. This opportunity represents an exciting step in my career, and I am eager to learn, grow, and contribute alongside other talented individuals. In this post, I will be comparing two javascript front-end technologies, React and Angular. PS. I am new to writing 😉 , therefore this piece may not be perfect. Thanks for reading. 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 Angular and React are both javascript technologies for building complex and interactive web applications. They share several similarities but some distinct characteristics which makes them fundamentally different. I will be comparing both technologies in this post but first, let's meet them. 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 Angular is a TypeScript-based development platform and design framework with a component-based architecture for building scalable web apps. It has a collection of well-integrated libraries, that help speed up front-end development. 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐭 React is a declarative, efficient, and flexible JavaScript library for building reusable UI components. Its component-based architecture and declarative views enable easy creation of interactive, complex UIs. 𝑵𝒐𝒘 𝑳𝒆𝒕'𝒔 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎 1. 𝐏𝐨𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐲: Both technologies are popular, but which is more popular? On Git-hub, React has more stars compared to angular and according to Statista survey in 2022 on the most used framework worldwide, React was in second position while Angular was fifth. 2. 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞: Since Virtual DOM trees are built on the server and are quite lightweight, React looks to exceed Angular in terms of runtime performance. 3. 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐁𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠: Angular uses two-way data binding, which means the model state changes automatically whenever any interface element changes. This keeps the two layers updated with the same data. React uses one-way data binding, which renders the modifications in the interface model only after the model state has been updated first. 4. 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐫-𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠: Angular renders the application by creating a static view before it gets fully interactive. It is up to you the developer to cleverly use the combination of JSON and client-side caching to increase server-side performance. In React, to make your application SEO-friendly, you would need to render the application to the server. React does it with ease with the help of some specific functions. https://hng.tech/intenship https://hng.tech/hire https://hng.tech/premium 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 Both technologies are great for building modern web applications with component-base architecture, choosing the best one to work with depends on the project you want to build.

These were the burning questions in my mind when I decided to leave my first internship after just 15 days: ✓ 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗳𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗿 𝗻𝗼𝘁? ✓ 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗜 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝘆 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗜 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝗶𝘁? ✓ 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗹𝗲? Today, I came across a concerning trend that made me reflect on the state of our tech ecosystem. Despite the hype and excitement surrounding Israeli startups in recent years, the number of new technological entrepreneurship ventures has been on a steady decline. This downward trajectory persisted even during the explosive growth of 2020 and 2021. It's disheartening to witness the decrease in new early-stage tech companies sprouting into our ecosystem. The challenges we face seem to go beyond temporary economic crises or societal issues. The root causes may lie in how our government and investor communities are approaching sector strategies and regulations. As a part of the Israeli startup nation, it's crucial for us to address these underlying issues to ensure the continued growth and success of our tech industry. Keeping this trend going is not an option for our ecosystem, and it is maybe one of the most important challenges we need to think about in the near future. This graph came from the Israeli Innovation Authority's 2023 annual summary report and IVC data.

𝐃𝐨 𝐕𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐄𝐚𝐭 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐨𝐧? 🥓 Google invests billions in 🇮🇱 Israeli technologies and companies. Some of Google's (or Alphabet Inc.'s) largest acquisitions have been Israeli innovations, from Waze ($1.3Bn acquisition in 2013) to Wiz ($23Bn acquisition discussions in 2024). Yet, the 𝑩𝑫𝑺 𝒎𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕, which promotes boycotting 🇮🇱 Israeli products, happily uses Google services to spread their message. For instance, the 𝐍𝐨 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐬 𝐚𝐩𝐩, which helps consumers avoid Israeli products in supermarkets, has over 1 million downloads. Ironically, these users are consuming ads and paying Google for the privilege, all while using the 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐢𝐝 𝐎𝐒, another Alphabet Inc. product. This contradiction reveals a lack of a moral compass guiding the BDS movement. It's all about convenience. They boycott Israeli canned goods, fresh produce, and other small items but rely on Israeli technology to identify products to boycott! As a carnivore, I used to love cheese and crackers, couldn't resist the smell of bacon, and enjoyed all kinds of cakes. But as a vegan, none of those appeal to me anymore because I refrain from eating animal products. I commend people who devote themselves to a specific way of life they believe in. However, I think a lot less of those, like BDS supporters, who make noise but don't follow through with their convictions. FUN FACT - Israel's 🍉 Watermelon harvest is greater than any other Middle Eastern (Arab) country and 6X Palestinian production (89M tons). 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐈𝐬𝐫𝐚𝐞𝐥, or don't. Love Jews, or don't. I don't care either way. Just make up your mind and follow through. If you're a vegan, don't eat bacon. 🌱

I can’t believe it took me 27 years to finally meet him. Our secret weapon and our CTO - Kostya Numan. Kostya is one of the most talented engineers and data scientists I've met, and I've seen hundreds of them around the globe! - At age 13, he learned his first programming language - Java. - At 16, he won the Chemistry and Physics Olympiad in Ukraine. - At 17, he landed his first engineering job at a top Ukrainian company, working with clients like IEEE and the UN. - At 19, he was making millions for an Eastern European hedge fund, developing high-frequency trading algorithms. We met last year at an AI conference in Warsaw. His first words were "My life's mission is to build algorithmic AGI." That's when I knew he was my type of guy. Earlier this year, I offered him to join Break Into Data as our CTO. Since then, we built all types of ML projects and coding challenges, which you can find at Break Into Data's GitHub page. However, we realized it wasn't enough for our community. Countless people reached out to us, asking how to build an outstanding portfolio to land a real job in ML and Data Science. That's why earlier this month, we finally launched our first Live real-world ML workshop for aspiring ML engineers. Funny enough, we were expecting 20 participants, but due to overwhelming interest, we had to close it at 41! If you didn't make it this time but still want to get early access to the next cohort, fill out this short form - https://lnkd.in/gvvaDr72 And for those who were able to book their seats! Prepare to get your hands dirty and your brains filled starting Aug 3rd! P.S. We are now in Tbilisi, Georgia developing the best learning experience for our community! #breakintodata #bid

🌟 When You Truly Create an Impact 🌟 A few months ago, we recognized the need to define and invest in the tech lead role, understanding that our tech leads are the driving force behind our technical teams. So, what exactly is the tech lead role? While it may vary from company to company or even team to team, it is clear that this role requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills. The Manager’s Path: A Guide for Tech Leaders offers an insightful chapter on this, emphasizing that being a tech lead involves more than technical know-how. It’s about navigating interpersonal dynamics, making strategic decisions, and mentoring team members. These complexities guided us in creating a program that addresses the multifaceted nature of the tech lead role. The Process of Creating an Impactful Program: 🤝 Collaboration between P&C Partner and Learning: This is where it all started - good communication and a strong working relationship between Tal Lev, my partner in crime, and myself. 🔍 Identify Your Sponsors: Key sponsorship from leadership was crucial in driving the program forward and ensuring alignment with our strategic goals. Doron Cyngiser Ori Danus, thank you for leading this program and putting your heart into it! 🗣️ Understanding Needs and Challenges: Through preparation meetings with managers and tech leads, we gained valuable insights into their unique needs and challenges, shaping the foundation of our program. 📋 Creating a Clear Role Guide and Skill Taxonomy: We developed a clear role guide and skill taxonomy to set precise expectations and define the competencies required for tech leads to excel. 📢 Involving Management: Involving management ensured that our objectives were aligned with the broader mission of the organization, maximizing the program’s impact. 🤝 Choosing the Right Vendor: Our vendor partner, Jetpacks Consulting (Omri Cohen and Matan Kubovsky), played an instrumental role in shaping and executing the program, bringing invaluable expertise and insights. 🌟 The Power of a Group: Group sessions encouraged collaboration and knowledge sharing, building a strong support network among our tech leads. 🔄 Creating a Continuous Support System: Create and establish a continuous support system to ensure ongoing development and support for our tech leads. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to this journey. Ido Stern Rami Tzafrir Gali Cohen Nissan

#IsraeliStartups, particularly in the #healthcare sector, are thriving due to a combination of factors. 🇮🇱 #Israel is recognized as a global leader in #medicalinnovation, boasting a vibrant ecosystem of about 1,500 companies in healthcare and life sciences. 🦾💻🌐 This innovation is driven by a strong foundation in technological advancements, such as AI and #RemoteDiagnostics. 🧲💸 Significant #investment is another pillar supporting Israeli healthcare startups. In recent years, these companies have raised billions, exemplified by the $6.5 billion amassed by 250 active startups in areas like #DigitalHealth, #MedicalDevices, and #Biopharma. These factors combined, position #Israeli #healthcareStartups not only as leaders in innovation but also as crucial players in the global healthcare market. 🇮🇱

Yuval Regev and his BI & Analytics team at Atera, the world’s first AI-powered IT management platform, lifted a core business KPI by 34% using the Loops Feature Impact Model. We are so proud and delighted to work with this leading analytics team. Initially, the naive effect (before/after) of a recent feature release appeared to have a positive outcome. However, with Loops they not only discovered that the causal effect was negative, they were empowered to make a series of iterative changes to maximize the KPI. You can read their case study to learn more about the process Yuval and team applied in making this significant impact on growth at Atera. #productledgrowth #causalml #causality https://lnkd.in/euc2JQDU
