We at Reflect are doing all we can to help and alleviate by even a little the suffering of evacuees from the horrors of October 7th. Under the guidance of Prof. Danny Hamiel, our scientific advisor and an expert in trauma and resilience, we trained a group of his students with the Reflect Orb and they have been meeting with the evacuees in multiple locations around Israel. The Orb is being used by the team to provide vital psychological first aid to survivors, among them teen support groups, children and their families, children on the spectrum and the elderly. The Orb is meaningful in breaking down barriers and drawing people in, even those with no previous experience with mental wellness practices, with its charming appearance and intuitive experience. We have since sent more Orbs to families with children in the bombarded south, and trained staff in a special education kindergarten on how to work with the Orb with the children. We are committed to bringing relief to those in pain.
Founder and CEO @ Reflect | Building the first home biofeedback trainer for emotional health
After October 7th, I spent a week overwhelmed by shock and grief, staring at the screen with a feeling of helplessness, before I remembered that I run a startup that helps people deal with anxiety. With the help of our scientific advisor, Prof. Danny Hamiel, we immediately got in contact with and trained a number of psychology students on using Reflect, and since then they've been meeting with the evacuees in the hotels and teaching them to practice relaxation with the Orb. The students tell us how the Orb helps to break down barriers and open up people who have no experience with stress relief. We sent more orbs to families in the south, and yesterday we also gave a demonstration of the Orb to staff at a special education kindergarten, and they are going to be working with it with the children. I admit that I did not imagine where Reflect would reach. Of course I couldn't imagine that what happened would happen, and I did not allow myself to assume that I would have any way to help people who had gone through the unbearable horrors that those people went through. I'm grateful that I have the ability to do this little thing. I'm grateful for my Reflect Innovation team, who are working tirelessly to support this effort as well as our ongoing efforts to bring Reflect to market, under unimagined conditions.
