Another Amazing חל״דאטה Meetup! Last Tuesday, we held another fantastic session of חל״דאטה, the cutest data meetup series for moms on parental leave! This month, we teamed up with the Data Operations IL community for a morning of connection, knowledge sharing, and empowerment. We were blown away by our inspiring speakers: 🐣 Danielle Menuhin (Data Operations Manager at eBay) discussed the exciting world of Generative AI (GenAI) and its impact on data operations. 🐣 Moria Cohen (Data Operations Manager at ActiveFence) shared her experiences keeping the digital space safe, highlighting both challenges and triumphs. ️ 🐣 Liz Polansky Polonsky (Data Operations Team Lead at Flymingo) shed light on the importance of accuracy and coverage in computer vision data operations. Following the talks, we had a lively parenting panel moderated by Sivan Milwerger (Data Queens co-founder). The panelists shared personal stories, tips, and advice on juggling parenthood with a data career. Huge thanks to: 🐥 The Data Operations IL community for the awesome speakers! 🐥Rotem Atiya-Feldboy and ZipRecruiter for the amazing hospitality (and delicious snacks!). 🐥Nûby™ (Lilach Kedmi) and Oeight (Adi Avshalomov) for the thoughtful gifts! What an enriching morning it was on Thursday at our latest חל״דאטה event! ZipRecruiter generously hosted our community for another successful חל״דאטה, a monthly meetup for women on parental leave interested in data fields. This event provided a space to connect, share knowledge, and empower each other, offering a refreshing pause from the daily routines of both moms and babies. Our theme this time delved into the exciting world of Data Product Management. We were fortunate to have three inspiring speakers share their expertise: Inbal Gilead, Director of Product at ZipRecruiter, kicked things off with her talk, "Data Product Manager: What is it Really?" Inbal provided a comprehensive overview of data product roles, emphasizing the essential skills needed for success. Drawing on her extensive experience, she showcased the variety of data product roles she's held in the past. Corrin Shlomo Goldenberg, a Data Product Manager at BigPanda, captivated us with her talk on "Creating a Data Platform in a B2B Organization." Corrin emphasized the importance of Product Manager involvement when building a data platform and discussed how they can influence such foundational structures. Shirley Keren Blitman, a distinguished IT leader with vast experience in Data and Analytics, enlightened us with her presentation on "Implementing Agile Work Methods through Data Teams." Shirley shared her journey of implementing agile work methods specifically for developing data products and Business Intelligence (BI). She walked us through the process and concepts using Jira, highlighting past implementation challenges and providing practical examples. The event wasn't complete without a lively parenting panel moderated by Sivan Milwerger, one of the founders of Data Queens . The panelists shared personal anecdotes and invaluable tips, addressing audience questions about balancing parenthood with a career in data. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated, with a special shout-out to the adorable babies who brought an extra dose of joy to our gathering! We extend our gratitude to Leora Golomb from ZipRecruiter for their warm hospitality.
