The City Employees dashboards give users a window into the workforce that powers Chicago by highlighting each department, title, and bargaining unit.
Some City titles are designated “Shakman Exempt.” Those positions are defined by law as positions for which political considerations are allowed in hiring because they are exempted from coverage under the City of Chicago Hiring Plan.
