    The invention relates to a system and method for dynamic, high strain, equi-biaxial fatigue testing of a non-linear material sample comprising an inflation/deflation system, a strain measurement system and a controller in communication with the inflation/deflation system and the strain measurement system, the controller having means to implement constant stress control. The means to implement constant stress control comprises means to calculate the volume of fluid to be delivered by the inflation/deflation system for each cycle to achieve a predetermined engineering stress in the sample for that cycle; and means to cause the inflation/deflation system to deliver that volume of fluid to the sample.
