The project was programmed on an Adafruit Flora, a version of the Arduino catered towards wearable technology. The Flora runs on the C programming language, and the project specifications requried knowledge of how C works in a minimalist capacity, as storage space on the device was limited. The device communicates to the user through the use of coloured LEDs, which can display information in a simple and unintrustive way.
A web interface was designed in conjunction with the Google Maps API in order to design custom "blackspots" i.e, areas that are considered to be dangerous according to the device. -
