🚀 Excited to share Lachlan Phelan's insightful case study from our 6th round of UX Tree Mentorship Programme, focusing on enhancing the single ingredient and batch meal functionalities of the MyFitnessPal app! 📱 The challenge: Redesigning core features of MyFitnessPal to improve the overall user experience, specifically targeting the app’s food logging functionalities. Lachlan’s approach was thorough and user-centric: 👉 He conducted extensive research, including competitor analysis, app store reviews, surveys, heuristic evaluations, user interviews, and usability tests to understand user pain points and needs. 👉 Lachlan discovered that users found the process of logging single ingredients and batch meals confusing and time-consuming. Technical issues, inaccurate food entries, and a confusing interface were major pain points. 👉 Using the Double Diamond Framework, Lachlan iteratively designed and tested prototypes. 🚀 Excited to share our latest case study from the UX Tree Mentorship Programme, focusing on Ronán McIntyre's work on IndySync, a Physical Music Management Distribution Platform! 🎵 The Challenge: Streamlining the communication and management of physical music between independent artists and record stores, addressing the inefficiencies in the consignment process. Ronán's approach was very thorough: 👉 Conducted extensive research including surveys, interviews, competitive analysis, and heuristic evaluations to understand the challenges faced by indie artists and record stores. 👉 Discovered that independent stores are often understaffed and overworked, leading to wasted time and potential revenue loss. Musicians struggle with initiating consignment, lacking clear information and a structured approach. 👉 Using the Double Diamond Framework, Ronán iteratively designed and tested prototypes. 🚀 Now we are sharing Aoife Buckley's latest project from the UX Tree Mentorship Programme, focused on enhancing Daft.ie property searching experience! 🎢 The challenge: Improving the core functionality of Daft.ie's app, specifically the property search feature, to maintain its market dominance and offer a more compelling platform for users. Aoife tackled this project with a comprehensive, user-centred approach: 👉 She conducted competitor analysis, analysed hundreds of user reviews, performed heuristic evaluations, and conducted user interviews and testing to uncover key pain points and user needs. 👉 The research revealed significant issues with the search functionality, particularly location searching and filtering. 🚀 Today, we are delighted to showcase Lorcan Looney's latest project from our UX Tree Mentorship Programme, focused on enhancing Ryanair - Europe's Favourite Airline's inflight ordering app feature! 🎢 The challenge: Improving the user experience of Ryanair's inflight menu app, which presented significant opportunities for UX improvement due to difficulties with the current inflight ordering process. Lorcan tackled this project with a comprehensive, user-centred approach: 👉 He conducted competitor analysis, online surveys, heuristic analysis, and usability testing to uncover key pain points and user needs. 👉 The research revealed that many users found the inflight ordering process cumbersome, with 40% dissatisfied with the current experience. Key areas for improvement included clearer menu options, streamlined ordering processes, and enhanced usability. 👉 Lorcan used iterative design, starting with paper prototypes and advancing to high-fidelity prototypes, incorporating user feedback at each stage. 🌍 Our team at UX Tree had an incredible time at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2024 in Dubai. We were so happy to attend and gain insights from some of the industry's leading voices: 🏞️ Paris Norriss delivered an inspiring talk on the power of storytelling in travel. He emphasised how creating engaging narratives can turn simple trips into unforgettable adventures, forging strong emotional connections with travellers. 🌳 The event put a spotlight on environmentally responsible travel, aligning with the UAE's Year of Sustainability and the recent COP28 UAE conference. Innovative solutions to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were discussed, highlighting the travel industry's role in creating a greener future. 🤖 Another exciting topic was the advancement of AI and its impact on the travel industry.
