We’re excited to share one of our 3D art pieces created in collaboration with Fateless Games for the upcoming game, Fateless, a community-driven RPG adventure. We collaborated with the Fateless team to provide numerous expert services, including 3D art production. We created hundreds of characters for the game divided into ten distinct factions inspired by world mythologies including Norse, Japanese, and Greek. We took inspiration from Hippolyta from Greek mythology, queen of the Amazons for this character. We looked towards the myths for inspiration in her design - her clothing, armor, and textures - before embellishing it to give it a unique Magic Media flair. This is just one of a whopping 300 characters we created for Fateless inspired by various mythologies, histories, and fantasy! Working alongside the Fateless Games team has been a fantastic collaboration. Our art and development team have been able to create and innovate to their heart’s content. Check out the product of some of our work, one of our characters that players will get to grips with. If you don’t recognize him, this is Ramses II. Otherwise known as Ramesses the Great and Ozymandias, one of the greatest and most powerful pharaohs during Ancient Egypt’s most powerful periods. When looking to famous or mythological characters, he was an easy pick! Widely considered one of Ancient Egypt’s most successful warrior pharaohs, he conducted nothing short of fifteen military campaigns! Aside from a single stalemate, he was successful in each one. He restored lost Ancient Egyptian borders and recovered once held territories. His army, a formidable ten-thousand strong. It’s always an enjoyable process bringing such characters to life, whether from our mythos or our actual history. This incredible piece of Ancient Egyptian history will no doubt prove a match for his fellow warriors and leaders. This model was lovingly crafted using ZBrush, Blender, Marmoset, and Substance Painter. Without video game props and assets, we’d be walking around looking at awfully empty game environments! Game props, the little and big things that fill out our game environments are rarely focused on but if they were missing, games would feel empty, lifeless, and fake. These props were created as part of a joint effort in creating this realistic and high-quality environment. Storm Landing is one of the latest and most impressive additions to the extensive Magic Media real-time VFX portfolio. In this scene, we see two stand-in models for characters opposing one another. One of these figures emits an almost pathetic-looking display of electric powers, much to the amusement of the other character, before realizing it has been led into a false sense of security. Without warning, the power-wielding character becomes enveloped with electricity before erratically advancing, leaping into the air, and landing on them with their galvanic might. This is just the most recent example of Magic Media’s mastery over real-time VFX in many diverse styles!
