While the GAA is basking in the glow of hurling's new found popularity across the Irish Sea after the All-Ireland Hurling Final being broadcast on BBC Two last Sunday, we took a quick look at Google Trends to see what people wanted to know most about our ancient game. - Searches for 'hurling' in the UK increased by 4,900%, peaking at 5pm on Sunday evening, just as the clock hit 70 minutes - Unsurprisingly, the town of Ruislip (the home of GAA in London) show the most interest in the final - Our favourite popular search term to see 'what is a hurling ball made of'... ⚾ Who knows, maybe we'll see the number of clubs grow from the current 87 to increase participation in the game over seas before Liam returns home to Limerick next year... 😮💨😮💨 (Mary McGuire)
