    As part of our community engagement at the Crown Trading Centre Hayes site, we have partnered with Michael Sobell House, a hospice supported by Harlington Hospice Association Limited They provide crucial support to those living with serious or terminal illnesses, as well as their families and friends. Their dedicated team includes Doctors, Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Physiotherapists, Patient and Family Support, Complementary Therapists, and Spiritual Support. 🏥❤️ Last week, our CTC team built a gazebo at the hospice, creating a special outdoor space for staff and service users. The Senior Community Fundraiser said, "I can’t thank JJ Rhatigan and the team enough for their incredible work on our gazebo. We showcased it last week for our Annual Summer BBQ, and it makes such an enormous difference for our patients. Thank you for making this possible." 🎉 A big shoutout to Des McNicholas, our Site Manager, for organising and executing most of the work, as well as to JB Structures and Rossmore for their contributions. 🙌🔨 We look forward to continuing our relationship with Michael Sobell House and all the exciting collaborations ahead! 🤝🌟 #LoveConstruction #JJRCares #JJRCareers

    Working to make Petfood as sustainable as possible

    The past few months have been filled to with so much sadness and uncertainty. From taking that awful phone call that changed our home life forever to having to witness my husband the rock of the house at his most vulnerable. When Stephen left our house to participate in a charity cycle organised by the Orwell Wheelers which he completed many times before we never thought he would not come back. At this time I would like to extend my condolences to the Orwell Wheelers CC and the family of Niall Kieran who tragically lost his life in a cycling accident earlier this week. Since the accident the children and I have been cocoon by an amazing group of friends and family. To who we will be forever in their debt. From the guys on the rota that have travelled to see Stephen everyday the compassion and respect for Stephen’s privacy has been amazing. Their wives who have physically held me up to make sure I can keep the show on the road for our two children. Who have had to grow up before their time. Hazel who’s intelligence and wit keeps me afloat and Billy who has taken on the temporary role of man of the house. For all the adults in our community who have helped keep things as normal as possible for the children. The teachers and staff of St Kennys National School, Mullingar Shamrocks St Oliver Plunketts Mullingar St Oliver Plunketts Camogie Club Mullingar Energy Plus Studios Fun Gymnastics Ann Corroon Patricia Irwin Mullingar Montessori and The Den. They say it takes a village but we very much feel the whole town is behind us. Our employers have also been amazing in supporting us at this most difficult time. They have really gone over and beyond with their flexibility and understanding C&D Foods (ABP Group) and JJ Rhatigan & Company Stephen has also been amazing and is fighting with all his might against the odds every single day to get back home to us and for this I am so proud of him. Stephen’s cycling club Lakeside Wheelers are behind this fundraiser. Anyone that knows a cyclist will be aware it’s not just a hobby but a way of life. I would like to thank them for arranging this as the future is very uncertain Stephen will need considerable help as we do not know the level of motor skills Stephen will regain. https://lnkd.in/eARht9j3

    #OneMaidenhead has been shortlisted for the London Construction Awards (LCA) under the category of Residential Project of the Year! This is phase one of our masterplan, developed in partnership with Smedvig, designed by Studio Egret West and delivered by JJ Rhatigan & Company for Get Living. There are four connected residential buildings with 429 all-electric one-, apartments, alongside 5,800 sq ft of interior amenity space. Amenities include private roof terraces, residents’ lounge and co-working space, gym and concierge. Alongside this is c. 40,000 sq ft of public realm, including Halcyon Gardens, and new public square that links through to the town centre. In line with our ESG commitments, there are extensive rooftop solar panels so that over 10% of the energy for the site is supplied by on-site renewables and #lowcarbon technologies. New ecological habitats have also been created, delivering a #biodiversity net gain and visible urban greening. The scheme is located adjacent to the town’s station, with direct access to London via the Elizabeth line and easy links out to Reading and the Berkshire countryside.
