We had cause for celebration today as we marked our Managing Director Patrick Buckley's 50th birthday! 🎂 With all the fuss about All Irelands last week, he may have thought it had fallen off our radar, but there was no fear of that! We designed a big, giant card in-house and set about collecting as many digital signatures from across the Group companies and then in-person when it was printed and we were absolutely thrilled with the result! We ordered a huge cake with the party version of the birthday boy printed on it for the occasion, an invite to a "VIP meeting" in the Manufacturing canteen was sent to his calendar and there was a huge turnout to surprise him and to mark the milestone. A very happy birthday Patrick from all of us! #RethinkingWater #RethinkingRecognition

The day has finally dawned after a week with a difference as the excitement mounts ahead of today’s All Ireland Hurling Final! 🏆 As a Cork headquartered company, the Rebel roar is deafening but we also have to remember our activities in the Banner county, which are numerous, especially in recent years, so a very fine balance has to be struck!! Nailing county colours to the mast was the theme for the week, so flags were raised on pretty much anything static in Mallow as well as being ordered for the flagpoles, while the Clare flag was also sent to Kilrush and to say everyone has come up trumps would be an understatement! We had a great turnout in Mallow wearing their colours, the team in Kilrush are simply a marketing dream with their vehicle placement, while further afield, Cork jerseys were being worn in Mayo and Cork flags were bought in Lichfield! It’s been a busy, fun week with lots of jokes and friendly banter in person, over the phone and on emails between those from the two counties and those supporting the teams. We’ve done our bit - now it’s all down to the 30 men who line out on the pitch today! Wishing those in both counties the very best of luck today - may the best team win! Come on the Rebels! 🔴⚪️ Up the Banner! 🔵🟡

For fear of triggering everyone's competitive nature, we think this is possibly the most exotic place the EPS backpack has travelled to - so far! More Dutch exploits for DPS' Gareth Wilson and family - this time to Beekse Bergen Safari Park. A super educational and fun few days for the kids, they're absolutely loving it. Meanwhile, dad is considering the potential for some irrigation!😜💦 #RethinkingWater #RethinkingRecreation

A fantastic reason to welcome Mick O'Shea back through our doors! We are thrilled to sponsor Mick as he prepares for the European Transplant Sports Championships in Lisbon from July 21st to 27th. Mick joined EPS in 1999 as an Electrical Draughtsman, working his way up to Electrical Engineer. He left in 2005, returning in 2013 until he became seriously ill in May 2017. It turned out Mick had in fact suffered a sudden onset of heart failure caused by a viral infection myocarditis, meaning he required a heart transplant but he was lucky to get that much needed call awaited by so many transplant patients. Mick has since become a personal trainer and this will be his 4th Championships, having also participated in the World Transplant Games in 2019 and the British and German Games in 2023. Mick has returned to EPS since 2017 on a number of occasions, hosting fitness classes and also speaking to our teams about the mental health challenges he faced during his illness and recovery. We are extremely proud to be supporting Mick's efforts in Lisbon, where he will be competing in the the 5K cycling time trial, the 30K cycling road race, the 100m and 1500m and finishing his week with the 200m on Saturday. Wishing Mick the very best of luck ahead of what's sure to be a special week for him, his wife Jennifer and son Finn. Pictured with Mick is our Asset Management and Optimisation Director, Barry O'Toole. #RethinkingWater

It's been a busy few months on the videography and photography front, but we can now say that our team has officially visited each Group company since the start of the year! It's much easier to tell a company's story when you're featuring their people, their premises and their activities. As a result, we now have a wonderful portfolio of video footage and an extensive library of images to choose from when creating digital and print marketing materials. We felt it was important that each Group company would get the same opportunity to have headshots, site, office and business unit activities, video and drone footage taken by the same team using the same equipment and visual approach. Consistency, as they say, is key! Each company is unique in their own way and with that in mind, we've created a specific LinkedIn page for EPS Water UK so please follow that page to make sure you keep up to date with our UK related content. Across the Group, we're always #RethinkingWater!

Another trip around the country for our Group Pump Specialist David Jamshidi this week as we continue our efforts to bring our teams closer to our product partners. This time, he was accompanying Zenit Group's Valentina Petruzzelli and Gonzalo Salarich Ferrer to our Naas, Ballyhaunis and Mallow branches for a familiarisation session on their existing and new products. With a lot of new members joining both our Engineering and Service & Repair teams in recent months, it was an excellent opportunity for them to mix with other colleagues and learn more about some of their product solutions in the process. There was a super turnout at all 3 sessions which we find encourage additional enquiries and applications as well as strengthening our working relationship. That's how we're #RethinkingWater!

When you're driving from Ferrier Pumps to EPS Water UK and you're a huge fan of Clarkson's Farm, sure you've got to stop by the Diddly Squat Farm Shop! 🚜 That's exactly what our Video and Digital Media Producer James Scanlan did today. He was outside the gate at 7.30am, one of the first in line to get his Piggly Squat breakfast and sample the cider from Jeremy's Hawkstone Brewery! He gave the whole experience a massive thumbs up and is nicely fuelled up ahead of more videography and photography action with Shaun Stevens and the rest of the UK team next week. Look at the queue as he was leaving - definitely a very different start to the weekend! #RethinkingWater
