About us

Engineers Ireland is the professional body for engineers and engineering in Ireland. Our current strategy ensures the upkeep and advancement of the reputation of the profession; the welfare and professionalism of our members; their continuing professional development and competence, and, their international mobility. Our 25,000+ members come from every discipline of engineering, and range from engineering students and graduates, to those advancing in their careers, senior leaders and Fellows of the profession. PROFESSIONAL TITLES We award professional titles to our members according to their qualification, experience and professionalism, including: Fellow (CEng FIEI) Chartered Engineer (CEng MIEI) Associate Engineer (Aeng AMIEI) Engineering Technician (Eng Tech IEI) PARTNERSHIPS We have built strong and mutually beneficial relationships with many Irish and international companies and organisations through our professional and educational initiatives, including: Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Programme accreditation Corporate affiliate membership We continue to build strong educational relationships with Irish universities and institutes of technology, primarily through our role in the accreditation of their engineering programmes and the STEPS schools outreach programme. All network/learning events run by our Regions, Divisions and Societies are open to the general public.
