The Mission of Canada to ASEAN is looking to fill the position of Senior International Assistance Officer in Jakarta, Indonesia. The Mission is looking for a dynamic individual willing to work in an exciting and fast-paced work environment.
The successful candidate will participate in the development and management of Canada’s ASEAN regional development program, including identifying, assessing, and advancing new development assistance projects.
They will work with multi-disciplinary internal teams including financial and contract officers, and technical specialists, and liaise with implementing organizations and beneficiaries.
The Senior International Assistance Officer represents the Government of Canada at events, leads and participates in policy dialogue, and maintains a network of contacts in support of Canadian development programming.
The successful candidate will proactively seek out communication and outreach opportunities in the ASEAN region in order to raise awareness of GAC program activities with external stakeholders in ASEAN.
As part of the Mission team, they will participate in Mission committees as assigned.
The successful candidate may be expected to conduct short-term travel within the ASEAN region (up to 1-3 trips per year) in support of program objectives including project monitoring.
The Senior Officer will also perform other duties, as required, for example supporting official and/or high-level visits.
