About us

We aim to advance knowledge and understanding of the UK housing sector and promote evidence-based policy and practice.

Through our research and analysis of all aspects of the housing sector, from social housing and private renting to sustainability and homelessness, we seek to highlight key challenges and promote innovative solutions to tackle complex issues.

Established in 2017, CaCHE is led by the University of Glasgow and funded by the Economic and Social Research Council and the Arts and Humanities Research Council. We are a consortium of eight partners in higher education and non-academic institutions.

As the leading evidence centre on housing research, we bring together experts from various disciplines to create a rich and diverse community of practice. We foster collaboration, knowledge exchange, and engagement with policymakers, practitioners, researchers, and the public.
