Philadelphia 76ers Rumors
George said he has a similar personality as Embiid, who keeps to himself and has a smaller circle than many NBA megastars. But they began chatting at All-Star Weekends, and George eventually looked forward to seeing Embiid as they became near-annual selections. The friendship reached another level when, George said, Embiid “opened up to me.” “He said, ‘Man, regardless of what goes on, I look at you as someone that I want to be friends with for a long part of my life,’” George recalled. “And that was deep to me. We knew each other, but we didn’t know each other on that level yet. And for him to just open up to me, it felt right. …
But after formally introducing George to Philly, the Sixers emphasized that they are all in. “I know he’s hungry to win, just like the fans of Philadelphia,” Morey said of George, “and he saw this as the best place where he had a chance to win.”

Paul George on vibe he got for signing with Clippers: 'I'm on the B team'
Tomer Azarly: Paul George: “I think initially, coming back to LA that was home. But it’s not the same love. Because when I was in LA, they said, ‘you should’ve been a Laker.’ That’s all I was hearing… I’m on the B Team. That’s how the vibe and the love felt.”
Paul George: 'Pressure causes a lot of injuries'
“I think just taking the pressure off Joel,” George said. “I think I can kind of help him get through a season healthy. And again, it’s just not putting so much pressure on him. Regardless of how good you feel, I think pressure causes a lot of injuries as well, and you think you have to get overplayed, you have to touch every possession, that kind of just wears you down, especially for how physical he is. “So that’s the key. Everybody do their part, make sure we’re working on our bodies, and that we don’t just put that pressure on one individual to go out and win games for us.”
Law Murray: Paul George says that he has no regrets or ill will towards the LA Clippers “I think both sides, we had a great mutual talk as it all played out… I’m happy for them, they’re happy for me. I’m a Sixer now.”
